Aberavon AM David Rees, is pleased to see that 2 Flying Start project in Aberavon, will receive financial support from the Welsh Labour Government to develop their provision.
Flying Start is the Welsh Government’s flagship early years programme which plays a crucial role as part of our anti-poverty agenda.
Flying Start supports families living in some of the most disadvantaged communities across Wales. It offers 12 and a half hours of high quality childcare a week for 2-3 year olds; support for the development of children’s speech, language and communication; parenting support; and an enhanced health visitor service.
David Rees AM said: “Flying Start is about giving children a better start, and a fairer chance in life than they would have had otherwise. It is creating opportunities for children and their families. Which, in these challenging times, it’s more important than ever. This investment is great news for families in Aberavon.”
“I am looking forward to visiting the projects at Tir Morfa and Brynhyfryd to see the work they are doing with families in the area.”
